Braun Renshi, also known as “Frozen Crane,” began his martial arts training in 1986. Initially trained in Okinawan Kempo Karate, he has since expanded his knowledge to include multiple disciplines. Braun currently holds black belts in two systems of Karate as well as Aikido/Kenjutsu, holds a title of Pankratiastēs (Παγκρατιαστής) in Pankration and he serves as an international instructor in Feeding Crane Kung Fu.
Beyond martial arts, Braun brings a deep background in public service. He is a former U.S. Army infantry soldier (11B A/B) and has worked as a firefighter/EMT, trauma technician, and emergency room nurse.
In 1996, Braun founded his dojo to provide martial arts training to students who might otherwise be unable to attend due to financial limitations. Today, he welcomes all who are willing to walk the path of martial arts and study his personal system, SanHoDo Budo.
Braun lives in southeastern Wisconsin with his wife and children.

This has been a family affair, with their father also training with them at our dojo.
Both of them are currently on leave from our club since their enlistment into the USMC.

Since about 2001, Jen Parker Sempai has been a normal presence at the dojo where she is constantly helping others all the while training herself. Along with her children, she has earned a midgrade rank within the SanHoDo system and was promoted to Sempai in the spring of 2025.
She is also well trained in Feeding Crane Kung Fu.
