Chief instructor Christopher braun
Christopher Braun Sensei has been actively training in the martial arts for 39+ years. He is an US Army veteran, internationally ranked black belt, and one of the few instructors of the Shihequan Kung Fu style IN THE WORLD! His passion for the martial arts is beyond words, and he shows that in every class/seminar. 25+ Years of Teaching Experience
Our first classes started in September of 1996. At one time, our classes were held in 4 out of the 5 middle schools in Kenosha, WI. As of 2024, we have had over 750 students bow into our classes.
We will never turn away a student
Our club was created for all students, not just those that could afford it. We keep our monthly membership fees low but if a student cannot afford it, there are still encourage to attend classes. Students may be assigned other tasks such as cleaning and community services to pay for the classes.
No Contracts. Pay Monthly
Martial arts raining is not for everyone, but how do you know if its for you? Our classes are offered at low cost without any contracts. Enroll yourself or your child today, pay monthly, and if its not right for you at this time you are not out hundreds of dollars. If you do love it, you can always pay for 6 or 12 months at a time with discounts. You never know until you try.
Street Smart Self-Defense
We are not a sport. Our style is to help students learn how to better themselves through training that will also help them survive a street confrontation. We focus on situational awareness, de-escalation techniques, and physical self-defense to help our students stay safe.
Traditional Style with Modern Concepts
The traditional martial arts have been training great warriors for many year, however times have changed. We understand and respect tradition, but know the need for updated techniques and concepts.
International Recognized Ranks
We have aligned ourselves with other local and international martial art associations to help better our student's training; offering them better seminars and ranking that is recognized in many parts of the world.
We are family
We will not turn away any student that is willing to train and uphold our Student Creed. If you cannot pay, then we will make arrangements for you to help with community service, dojo cleaning, and more. At BKMA, you should be allowed to train no matter what.
